Sonya Chartoff, LPC, MT-BC

Ms. Chartoff is a licensed professional counselor and board certified music therapist working with adults dealing with mental health, life transitions, and substance abuse. She has seven years of experience working in both inpatient mental health and substance abuse rehab settings. She uses evidenced based practices, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance Commitment Therapy, to help clients identify and implement behaviors that can help them achieve their goals and live fuller lives. She also uses music therapy to help clients get in touch with their emotions through non-verbal means and connect with them in a more approachable way.

Ms. Chartoff has experience working with clients dealing with depression, anxiety, substance abuse disorders, post traumatic stress disorder, and eating disorders. She is passionate about working with the LGBT population and other marginalized communities to support their overall mental goals through affirming care.
