Catherine Weigley, MSS, LSW

My goal as a psychotherapist is to create a safe space in which people feel heard, seen and understood in a way that allows them to begin to work through past trauma and present concerns and work towards acceptance and healing and greater comfort.
I have been a social worker and therapist for over two decades and have worked with a wide range of people, from those who want some extra support during a life transition, to people who want to find ways to cope with long term emotional and social difficulties. I strive to understand the perspectives and experiences of the people that I work with and to help them to develop tools that can ease struggles, form better relationships, and find more satisfaction in life.
I work with individuals and couples. I have worked in addictions treatment, group psychotherapy practices, and prison reentry services. I have training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and have utilized the Sanctuary Trauma Model in my work. I primarily utilize Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT) in my couples work.
